I recently replaced my 2001.5 2500 QC 4X4 diesel 6-speed ABS controller with an exact P52010033AB match junkyard part successfully but it has the same weakness as the original - speedo reads about 10% slow (with 285/75R17). Did extensive ABS controller research and ran across references to programming the controller with a DRBIII tool. Anybody still in business with one of these obsoleted tools or a DRBIII Emulator? Know if tire size / pinion factor can be reprogrammed?
A little history: My controller had the standard ABS power transistor failure causing the pump motor to run all of the time with fail lights. Tried replacing with a P52110033AE from a similar vintage 1500. Pump did not run but ABS fail light on and 4WD light flickered constantly while moving; pretty sure that unit was no good. No VIN issues or other problems with current replacement but I pay no attention to the CE light since my VP44 is MIA and that generates a slew of codes.
