reprogram?

Guys,
Is it necessary to reprogram the ECM after replacing the DPF pressure dif sensor to avoid derate? Is this a dealer only software program? closest dealer to me is 2 1/2 hours away if this is true?

AlfaOBD has DPF replacement listed, nothing about the sensor replacement.

Get AlfaOBD and try it, if the dealer is so far away you'll need it anyway in the future. Well spent 50$.

if you replaced the sensor and cleared the code, since we are talking the DPF and not the SCR system, the problem should be cured. I'd just drive it and see what happens..
anything withe the DPF usually doesn't get you into the derate stuff like the SCR system, which is programmed to make you fix it by making it undriveable.. the DPF system is not like that.
