I installed my new mallory 4140M yesterday and am very pleased with the results I have been getting. At Idle I get 11-12 psi and at WOT 9-10 psi, with straight driving at 65-80, I am at 11 psi. I decided not to plumb in the regulator and have gotten a steady stream of fuel within acceptable limits. Temporarily I am using the power source from the stock lift pump, but planning on figuring out something else later. I think basically what we need is a circuit that works like the stock lift pump, where it gives a short quick burst to put fuel to the injector pump, and then once the truck is running, a continuous voltage running the pump. Does anyone know if there is any source we can tap into to find out if the engine is running? Also when the starter is engaged?

I located the fuel pump right infront of the fuel tank, under the back transfer case skid plate bracket. There is an opening in the frame there where it is easy to get the fuel pump bolted on.

I ran -6 AN SS Braid for the fuel line and below is a listing of what fittings are needed:
3 FCM2116 - Weber carb adapters (replaces banjo bolts).
3 FCM4032 - -6AN 90 degree to Hose fitting (gives slow bend for fuel lines. )

For the Mallory Fuel Pump
2 FCM2521 - Male 3/8 Pipe to -6AN male
2 FCM1012 - -6AN Female to -6AN Hose

You will also need enough hose to plumb all of this.

What I am not sure of is what fitting is needed to connect the -6 AN line to the top of the gas tank. Anyone have any ideas? I am going to plumb that part on the next chance I get.

Sorry for the long post, but hope this helps.

Have not totaled it all up yet, had some of the stuff laying around. The swept 90's were 18. 99 each, the weber carb adapters were I think 10 bucks each. The SS line is not cheap. Should be able to price all of this at summit and get it cheaper there. I bought it at a local race shop so there was a mark up. I paid 269 for the fuel pump and regulator together.

morphis , i have a stock pickup in my garage , i'll fiddle with it tomorrow , i'm thinking a compression fitting adaptor to an npt female to 3/8ths hose barb . or npt to AN-6 .

You can buy a fitting that is 3/8 compression on one end and 6-AN on the other end to go on the tubing at the fuel tank. Just cut the barb from the stock fuel outlet tube and attach the compression fitting. This is what I used when I switched fuel lines. I had to search a little, I think I got them from JEGS. Aeroquip doesn't offer them, but I believe either Russell or Earls does.
