Ok, I am impressed with this new flash. The motor runs more smoothly for starters. It seems to be just a hair quieter, but the sound that is there is deeper. But, for the best part is the increase in fuel mileage. The last full tank before I had the flash installed was 16. 31mpg. The absolute best tank I have ever had was 17. 81 mpg, but that was with the cap on the back. This first tank was 19. 19mpg. I drove 706. 4 miles on this tank and filled up wih 36. 810 gallons. I fill to the top of the neck every fill-up. I am sure that with the cap on I will easily break into the 20mpg range. So looking over my records I am calculating an increase of right at 2. 75mpg from this new computer flash. I do notice just a very slight decrease in the seat of the pants dyno though. Just doesn't have quite the same kick when I put it to the floor as before.

Couple of questions for you, how many miles are on your truck, how fast do you cruise and is it a 4x4. I've only racked up 950 miles on my 05 and my last hand calculated MPG was 15 trying to keep it at 70-74, I'm hoping she'll go up when it breaks in!

I have just about 18,000 miles on it already and it is a 4x4. I have an Astro truck cap I put on and take off once in a while. Kinda hard to pull a GN with a truck cap on the back. I just put the cap back on tonight since the trailer is gonna be parked for a while. We will see what happens with it back on. I usually cruise between 65 and 75 on the highway. I would guess I was right around 68-70 for most of the trip from MI to Indianapolis and back. My advise is to get some miles on the gears, then load it up with a HEAVY trailer and go beat on it for a while. Mine picked up some MPG's after putting some weight on it and driving up and down some hills pulling a trailer. These motors need to work hard to get broken in properly...

Thanks BStoeker hopefully pulling my 4K boat wil do the job. I guess I'll have to plan some trips to Flamingo (500 RD. trip). :)
