Results of Scheid Diesel Rally

adam my 6 could not find traction

burned the tires all the way down track

chris sutton out pulled all the pickups

i have tape how do you get vhc recorder on here?

Bill, send email to MCrossley (Mike Crossley) either through here or HVAC's Performance Diesel web site. I believe he did the same thing for the camcorder tapes he took at the Dream Machines event in Half Moon Bay this past April.

I turned a best of 16. 9 at a bit over 80 mph - that was with a mild degree of power braking. That was my second run - the first I was afraid of poor traction, so just waited for the light and punched it - 17. 1 @ 79 mph. I lost so little traction on my last/best run that I'm sure a full-tilt run would get me about 16. 5 - but it was already later than I had intended to stay, so decided against another hour-long wait for another run. If I'm correct on my theory on the 16. 5, that would calculate out to 250 rwhp on my truck - 300 at the flywheel... Not bad for a mildly bombed old-timer... ;) :D

DERN! almost fergot to mention, my pleasure to meet so many GREAT Dodge/Cummins dudes - we'll REALLY show 'em some smoke NEXT time!:D

WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much fun!!!!!

About 10 of us showed up to race... like Bill said, Adam fried 'em in 4x all the way down, pedaling like crazy trying to hook up..... forget it Adam... ain't gonna happen... . Nice having a scale to use at the strip... . Those 2 wheel dr 1st Gen trucks are sure pesky... You know who you are (Greg)..... Boy... you think your truck is pretty quick, till you run the lights... . that was an eye opener, although I bettered my time by 3/4 of a second each time I ran.

Next time... Launch in 4WD, full boost power brake, shift out @ about 30 mph and hope for the best. If not do it again... . Had to go home early and make some Moo-Shoe Pork... .

Oh... . A picture of the Cummins Mower @ the strip... ...
