Retorque bolts on new exhaust manifold after heat cycle?

Just curious if anybody knows if this is necessary? It would be simple enough, except you have to remove the heat shield and that rear heater hose bracket to recheck. The manual made no mention of it that I could see.

I just studed my head and put ATS compounds on, after I went out and ran it for a while, came back and check all manifold bolts. All were a little loose because of heat expansion. I would def. go back and re-check.

Im with cory, run a heat cycle or two then retorque. I had some loose bolts when I did my turbo.

I know on gassers when you install headers you always want to do this. If you can try and re-torque when they are hot. I do this on all headers and they always stay tight. I do it 2-3 times.

yes, I would agree with the others, definately re-torque

Yes re torque after a cool down cycle . Actually with a calibrated instrument otherwise it kinda defeats the purpose .I would advise this to all the components of the engine and even accessories . Not done commonly but it's great preventative maintenance I assure you . Technical Tom is my nick name and God is who is worthy of the Glory .
