Hello. I have promblems with technical approval at my local authorityes of motor viechles.

They claim my 2. gen Ram is lifted, but it appears that mine is equipped with camper package.

Who can I ask for some kine of documentations that say's my dodge is delivered with this option, and what differences

this option from standard (why I hav swaybar and two extra leaf)

Kindly regards

Stefan from Norway :)

Stefan you need to get the "build sheet" of the vehicle by supplying the VIN # of your vehicle to a dealer. I know of one member that works for a dealer that can do this. Personal message "Bob 4x4" and ask if he can do this for you.

Stefan,

Please include the 17 digit vin for the truck when you PM Bob 4X4. I know that he will help you.

Mike.

Bob4x4 fixed me built shhet at no time. Thanks

But any one know where I can retrieve chrysler-sourced technical info about our truck? (riding hight,track-width,spring rates"??)

owners manual or technical work book??

Stefan

You could try a google search on your year and see if there is an archived Dodge flyer for the "New truck lineup". If your local DMV is still griping about your truck not having stock suspension, look for Chrysler part numbers stamped on them.

You might find the TSB about replacing the factory 4" spacers between the rear axle and spring with 2" to lower the ride height for fifth wheel towing clearance - that would prove that the arse end is supposed to be that high and is indeed stock.

Exactly what year is your truck?

Good call that TSB is 02-001-01 and applies to 94-01 4x4 trucks

BODY CODE PLATE
The Body Code Plate Body Code Plate is located on the floor pan under the passenger seat or attached to the front face of the radiator closure panel. There are seven lines of information on the body code plate. Lines 4, 5, 6, and 7 are not used to define service information. Information reads from left to right, starting with line 3 in the center of the plate to line 1 at the bottom of the plate.

The last code imprinted on a vehicle code plate will be followed by the imprinted word END. When two vehicle code plates are required, the last available spaces on the first plate will be imprinted with the letters CTD (for continued)

When a second vehicle code plate is necessary, the first four spaces on each row will not be used because of the plate overlap.

Yahoo!!! Thank you thank you thank you.

You made my day :-D

Now I have something to work of. Only thing I might miss for now is a way to show that source of this info comes from chrysler.
But I have lots of stuff to work with for a while now. I will keep You guys updated :-D

Thanks again :)

Your DMV guys will have a heart attack if they every ride through my part of the country and see the jacked up 4X4s running 35s. An extra leaf spring or two is not jacking a truck up more than an inch. Good luck. Usually you can go to the dealer and they can pull the info for you with the Dodge Logo and Dealership printed on the document. Where do you live?

heheheheh :-laf thanks guy's :)

It should be me who should been in your part of the country :)

I'm from Norway, and over here it's extremely difficoult with modefying on motor viechles. Especially american car, and worst of all : lifted american fullsize pickups :-( and the taxes are hardly to live with :-(

I've seen some pics from your trucks... . If somebody from my country's DMV you can do with these trucks, they probably would bann all american trucks in this country :-D... ... "if" they manged to come home alive :-D

so what I'm hoping of is to get a little lift approved by shoving "camper special group" and "snow plow prep package" and 33" tires.
hopefully,I can get that written on the trucks paper, and then, i can go a little taller... . and use Camper and snowplow prep pkg to pinpoint the fact that my truck appear lifted... :)

So, I really aprisiate the help I get here :)
