After reading the lastest news regarding the future of diesel in the world of transportation (Diesel Technology Forum), they mentioned retrofitting of existing engines, (by 2007). In one section the recommendation was, instead of rebuilding your current engine (CTD) it would be responsible to retrofit with the latest technologically advanced replacement available. Okay, after all that... Anyone know if a 2003 HO CTD can fit under the hood of my First Generation Truck? Trick motor mounts, or something Mopar? Could I just transplant a engine and transmission? What about the rear axle, could it handle the HO power? If all continues as planned, I want to go a few more hundred-thousand miles on the engine under my hood right now. But, I can dream and plan for the future... Is this BOMBING?
