O. K. It's really not revenge. But I've got to get this one out!! My good friend and Harley buddy and I seriously disagree on machinery of the 4 wheeled variety. He loves his blue oval trucks, which he has no end of trouble with, mostly because of lack of maintenance and outright abuse. He is also infatuated with green and yellow tractors. I personally could care less... to each his own. However I've always had Dodge trucks,(This is #7) and I love my old red tractors (Farmall H, and Super M both saved from the scrap yard) I'm also a maintanence freak and treat my machines like, well, they're my babies. Yesterday, Turkey Day, he was cutting wood before turkey and got his truck good and stuck in the bottom visible from my house. I noticed he left it there when he hoofed it back up to the house for dinner. This morning it was 12 degrees, brrrrrrr! Jeff called, he wanted a hand getting his truck out. I thought he wanted me to steer something. To my complete amusement he asked me to bring the M to give him a pull. (I really didn't want to get it muddy but this was too much fun. ) Not only was his truck stuck, it wouldn't start. To add insult to injury neither would his 6 year old $30,000 tractor. (Tractor, OE batteries, forgivable, his stupidity... Truck I'm not sure, cranked, no smoke though) My 52 year old Farmall started, and pulled him out. It didn't even get too dirty. I put it away and hopped in the truck "which also started" and had to drive past his house were he was doing bad things under the hood of the truck. It was running later. I know I'm going to hell for telling this, and I SWEAR I kept a straight face and made no off color comments. I am master of my domain!!!!

Great story! My Dad had a "B" and a Cub that I used to mow with, I can still remember the sound.

I always wanted an M but they are overpriced out this way.

We had to bury a horse a couple of years ago. Fella came to cover the old girl over brought his brand new JD110 for the job. He got a little carried away pushing from the uphill side and dropped his front end over the edge of the hole. Pretty severe pucker factor on the seat. I let him try to haul himself out with the backhoe and rears. I might have chained him to the Ram to drag him out, but the SuperC (also a boneyard project) was sitting right there . . . :D

Paychk not so!

don't know what I am doing wrong for there are few people that are as particular as I . Even girlfriend says that I am toooooo meticulous ( a Virgo thing) .

Since 1978 I have kept a log as to everything that gets done to the vehicle, fuel/ oil/ air filters, tires r/b, invoice numbers and scale weights, etc. :)

I even put on 24"x 24"& 36" mud flaps front and back and 14" running boards to protect truck and other vehicles.

This truck isn't behaving like the previous 7 vehicles I have owned. :( :--)
