Few days ago I had to park in a spot off the asphalt, with wet ground. The asphalt curb was angled at a 45, bout 8" tall. Backed up into the spot(parallel park), when my front tires hit the angle, the truck stopped and I got a strange grind, and no movment. Only way I could get into the spot was to put it into 4x4 and rock into it. Still made the noise in 4x4. My one-wheel-peel was diggin a hole on the back right in 2wd.
Backed up out of my driveway this morning, and I got the same thing. Kinda sounds like somethin binding...
Is there any checks I can do on the xfer case? I plan on draining it and doing an inspection. My transmission was just rebuilt back in Sept, and I dont beat on it much, so I dont think its the transmission. Forward gears work great, no strange noises or vibes. .
Any ideas guys? I`d appreciate it.
tnx
