I,ve heard that someone sells a kit to reverse the OD switch. . Does anyone know where this can be found? I would like to be able to start my truck & drive it with the OD locked out until I push the OD button instead of trying to remember to take it out of OD.

Anyone?

OD

I'm running 285 tires & it seems to be searching between 3rd & OD while running down the freeway in traffic. I'm a bit anxious about the 47RE & don't want to burn up my trans running 3. 54 gears & taller than stock tires. (245's)

Am I paranoid?

I actually mentioned this very subject to my wife on a trip last weekend. Our '94 Caravan was setup like that. You had to turn 'OD' off at freeway speeds. I really wish my RAM was the same because I am thinking my switch will eventually fail because I constantly turn it OFF 'OD' because I drive no faster than 45 mph on my job, and the engine lugs if I don't turn off 'OD' because I have a modified DTT transmission.

Beware.........

I have had mine set up to do this for quite a while and it works great. A few others tried what I had done and set codes. It turns out the coil on the relay they were using wasn't as high enough impedance. It allowed the system to see a ground through it and it set a code for the Park/Neutral switch. It happened to 2 different people and I sent them the relay I used and it worked fine.

Garrett is right on about the relay... when I replaced the one I was trying to use with the one he was using, everything worked great. It has been working flawlessy for amost 4 months now. Having the right relay makes the install go MUCH easier :D
