Review of LMCtruck replacement dash

I just replaced the dash on my 2001 with dash from LMCtruck. The fit and finish are as good as the OEM. It has all the gussets and holes just like the original . They have them for 200. 00 plus shipping in 3 colors. "Note" if you have the Agate interior the dark gray they sell is a shade lighter the stock.

Guys, I went to LMC online, all I found is

dash covers, is this what you guys

are talking about?

I'm looking further. But if you can point me

in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks:cool:

If you have a part number, that would be great guys. :)

I did call them and they don't carry anything but covers,

according to the operater:{

Here is the number to the front counter, 913-492-8756. The parts #'s are, 56-7411-DG, Dark Gray, 56-7411-GR, Gray and 56-7411-SD, Saddle "Camel". They open up at 9am Central Time.

I covered my dash on the 95 back in 95 and I also used a sun shade when parked. Last summer I didn't have the sunshade anymore and then the dash cracked. My vin plate now sits in my center console on a piece of the dash... My dash is blue, so if I get either a replacement or cover, are they paint-able? I was thinking I may use some JB Weld and fiberglass matt to patch it since it's covered with a dash mat.

Thought I might add the painting process.

First I used wax and grease remover with paper towels

Second I used Tack rags to remove dust etc.

Third I used Sem 38363

The Sem plastic prep softens the plastic and you apply the paint dry while the Sem is still wet. The Sem helps absorb the paint into the plastic for better adhesion. As for the statement "apply paint dry" I just held the spray can far enough away so the paint basically was already dry when it hit the wet Sem.

Edit:

Forgot to add after the initial coat flashed I just painted as normal for the desired finish

Hope this helps

Dave

I have to replace the dash on a 00 3500 at work. We were driving down a bumpy road and a chunk about the size of a paper plate fell right thru. "Management" tried to blame somebody for vehicle abuse... but I took the sample piece and dropped it on the floor. It shattered into about 100 pieces proving what had happened. The sun must have really killed this plastic. I had been giving serious consideration to the Geno's dashtop.

Is a Mopar replacement not available any longer? Or are they super expensive?
