Hi,

I just got the newest flash for the Smarty, and I'm curious as to how much more timing marco put in there. It seems like a LOT... almost sounds like when you run an engine on ether... lots of timing rattle any time you throttle down. I'm running on setting 5 and I'm just curious as to whether this new timing curve is a safe one? I have noticed also a lot less smoke coming hard onto the throttle since the new flash, I guess the timing allows for a more complete burn.

Which version of the new April 17 th updates are you using? How does it compare to what you had before?

I have been reluctant to update due to all the comments on forums about people wanting the origional sioftwares back. I bought my smarty based upon research on forums and all the talk about awsome throttle response etc. When I got mine it ran better but it certainly did not have significantly better throttle response on any setting. Although my smarty may have not included the origional software since I just got it about 4-6 weeks ago.

I'm on the Smarty S-06A Ver. 4. 06D, Data: 3. 08A update. It has the moderate torque management decrease.

I'm surprised you claim that you have very little change in throttle response. I noticed an immediate change in how the truck responds to quick hits on the throttle as when downshifting... makes downshifting faster much easier since the dodge is very hard to heel/toe if possible at all (need some BIG FEET, which i just dont have lol. )

As for the timing, it doesnt degrade performance at all, in fact it puts the fuel to better use since it has longer to burn.
