Yesterday I had Rhino liner sprayed in my 2003 Ram 3500 Longbed . When I dropped off the truck it was agreed that before spraying they would remove the 2 black plastic (rubber?) plugs located at the lower left and right sides of the front wall of the bed and also remove the 2 plugs that are in the bottom of the bed on the left (driver side) side. They were to spray, then replace the 4 plugs. The result would be that I could then remove the plugs in the future should I wish to do so. Otherwise, it would be a pain. Well, of course, when I went to pick up the truck I saw that although they had done what looks like a very nice spray job, the plugs had been sprayed over. They had not removed them prior to spraying. Before I paid the bill, I had them write on my invoice that they were supposed to remove the 4 plugs prior to spraying but had not done so and that I could bring the truck back and they would redo those areas.

That presents somewhat of a problem. You can't see where the two small plugs, the ones you need to remove to lower the fuel tank, are located. I really don't want them taking a hit and miss approach in trying to find the 2 plugs. As for the two larger plugs, the ones on the front wall, you can still see their outline.

I'm hoping one of you fellow TDR members would send me some measurements from your 2003 longbed that would pinpoint where the 2 small plugs, the ones over the fuel tank, are.

As for the 2 larger plugs, the ones in the corners, near the bottom of the front wall, does anyone know why they are there? I heard someone refer to them as "snow plugs". So, I really don't know what the plugs are for, but since Rhino was supposed to remove/replace them and didn't, I'm going to insist they correct their error. Still, I wonder why the plugs are there. Do you know?

Thanks for any info.

Gosh, nobody has responded to my message.

Surely someone will send me some measurements so I can pinpoint where the 2 plugs on the bed floor are located.

Also, would like to know the reason for the 2 large plugs in the front wall of the bed.

My new truck now has it's first ding. The Rhino folks told me to leave the tailgate down for 24 hours while the lining cures. You guessed it, somebody or something bumped into the opened tailgate while I was in a store. Made a small dent on the top of the tailgate and a blemish in my new Rhino coat.
