I recently installed Rickson 19. 5's with 265's on my 02' 3500. I am happy with rims and tires(goodyear g159s in front and g124s in rear)they ride and look great. As far as Rickson customer service, one of the worst I have ever dealt with#@$%!. It only took 2. 5 months to get the rims, excuse after excuse, but I don't want to bore you. My problem is that I have lot less stopping power then before and it fells like the ABS turns on way to soon. Can I adjust anything, like speedo?Or do I just need bigger brakes??

I didn't notice less stopping with mine but I did notice I had to apply my brakes a little sooner than before but I have had them on for about 2 years now but now that I am used to them I can't tell the difference anymore.

The first thing I would check and see how much meat is left on your brakes and also see if they need bleeding.

brakes are fine pleanty of meat. Idont think they need bleeding. I think its in the math bigger rim and tire less rotation. maybe something with speed sensor for abs????thanks for your help

and don't forget rolling mass, once you get all that mass going, it will take more to stop it, a brake upgrade would help... just my . 02... .

Your right about the wheels being larger having an affect. I am not sure about the speed sensor though.

it makes sense

simple physics will tell you that the heavier rotational mass (the bigger, better tires) will make it tougher to stop. does it make that much of a difference given the weight of our trucks? don't know.

seat of my pants... it was tougher to stop by a hair, but I drive pretty conservatively and for the most part don't drive with any weight (trailer or in bed).

before i got my Ricksons and goodyears (which i love by the way) my brakes lasted about 25kmi, after i got my Ricksons they lasted about 25kmi.

just my situation i guess. my only issue is that I have to get harmonic balancers as when the goodyears were installed the tire shop balanced the tire/wheel combo without the stainless steel simulators and i'm getting a little wobble/vibration at certain highway speeds. Rickson was less than helpful (didn't return calls/e-mails) on how to center the ss wheel simulators. otherwise the product is really cool. i wish i could afford the aluminum set up.

sorry for being vague, but this is my experience.
