Anyone running the Rickson Aluminum wheels? I have set on th front end of my truck and my concern is, the studs do not completely come to the end of the lugnuts. DOT regulations require that at least 4 threads stick past the end of the nut. Although there is not much chance of getting checked on this it would be nice to have long enough studs to come through the nuts. Does anyone know of a part number for longer studs fo an 03 3500? I've thought about going with aluminum outer wheels on the rear but am afraid I'd run into the same problem.

Thanks..... Doug

Wow, first I've heard of this problem with Rickson. Have you called Rickson? Curious to know what they say on the matter. I would agree though that you should have some protrusion of the stud through the lug nut.

Mine are steel so I don't have that problem. I've never heard of it on the fronts before. I' wouldn't run them/it until you get something figured out.

There is if one falls off and causes an accident. An ounce of prevention...

Sorry to sound preachy, but wheels and tires are something I don't take chances with.

are you using the factory lugnuts? I don't know if the dually's are the same but my SRW's lugnuts aren't threaded all the way and the studs aren't either. the studs have about 1/4"on the end that is smooth to pilot the stud into the wheel w/o damaging the threads on the end of the stud . my lugnuts also have about 1/4" recess in the ends of the lugnuts. On mine if the end of the stud is flush with the end of the lugnut the two sets of threads end at the same point and they are at maximum thread engagement. If yours are the same(flush with the end of the lugnut) you should be alright.
