towing 20,000 lbs

Now I have seen it all. Trailer / Truck lift combo Anyone see one?

what do you have?

i have fire stone ride rites, but am looking for an in cab controller and thinking about on board air (killby interprises)

where did you mount your gauges, electric senders or mechanical, how did you wire it? where are your tanks ad how big?

here is what i am thinking for me...

remove the leaky quick fit tube setup they supply ad switch to copper tube. run the bags in paralel as the fact the goose is always a level side to side load. run them to a set of selanoids, one for fill and one for dump. electricaly controlled. run a T fitting and put a pressure sender on that side.

run a 5 gallon air tank under the bed behind the left rear wheel and a pressure sender on that. have a quick connect on the front and rear bumpers. then run on board air like normal.

switches and gauges would all go to the right of the steering wheel but to the left of the radio on the dash.

any input?

I have bags and really like them. I opted not to get the incab control, but now I wish I would have. I change air pressure alot and it's kind of a pain to hook the compressor up all the time.

I have Ride Rites with an on-board compressor and in-cab controls. I only have a . 5 gallon tank which is mounted inside the left quarter panel below the taillight area. I also have a valve mounted by the driver's side rear license plate light for inflating flat motorcycle tires or whatever. It's a very handy setup for sure. The controls/gauge is mounted in the cubby under the radio. The gauge has dual needles. I can adjust each bag separately, which helps stability. The compressor kit is called the Dual Air Command II, part number 2168.

thanks. looks good. im looking for ideas like this, but more along the idea of home built systems that are capable of running air tools as well. thats why i want a york compressor for my rig. i love my ride rites, but need them on a single valve. i guess double would work, not to hard to adjust i imagine.

I have the Firestone air bags along with the Kilby on board air. I ahave a 5 gallon tank outside the frame ahead of the right rear wheel. To control the air bags I have an auto level valve on each side. No matter if the load is centered or off the truck will stay level. I also have a quick disconnect at the tank for my air tools. I wired a throttle kicker that I can turn on to speed up the engine when the compressor is running.

Right now I don't have a gauge on the air system. I have a similar system on my Cherokee (a single valve) I am using a dual pressure gauge from a Peterbilt Gives me tank pressure and air bag pressure.
