Holiday Rambler 34' Presidential TT

3,500# and 2 extra leaf springs

Has anyone installed both of these on their third gen? Will both fit at the same time? I have looked at both installation manuals online, and it looks like they may both use the same mounting holes. I appreciate any tips in advance, since I haven't had any luck getting an answer from either manufacturer.

Thanks,

Vinny

Vinny,

I've not done this air system and hitch, but I have done the install of other systems that have the same problem. In those cases I made some shims and adaptors so that both could be installed. You just have to watch you spacing to other structure when you install all of the parts.

Good luck,

Chris

Thanks for the tip, Chris. After looking at the instructions again, it looks like the issue won't be the mounting holes, but the thickness of the SuperGlide bracket that fits against the outside of the frame. It looks like the top of the Ride-Rite bracket is supposed to rest against the outside of the frame. So, by resting against the SuperGlide bracket, then the Ride-Rites may be canted inboard a hair. What do you think, Gary? It'll be a couple of months until I have time to do the install and dummy these things up, so I'm still interested in anyone else's experience.

Thanks!

The riderights brackets are on the inside (inboard) side of the frame. I ran into an issue where the driver side was interfering with the stock parking brake bracket spot-welded to the inboard side of the frame. I just left it that way and tightend the bracket up. Upon tightening it down it straightened up enough to be just a bit less than level. Be prepared to loosen your leaf springs or grind a bit off the brackets where they slip past the u-bolts.

Thanks, BG, for the heads-up. I am no stranger to the grinder, so I'll have it ready to go. I plan on tackling the hitch first, then move on to the air bags.
