I need to replace a bent rim (96, 2500 4WD) - there's a used

one available, locally. Some rust and when spun on local balancer, shows a need for 1 + 1/2oz - wheel only! Anyone know

how this compares to a new rim?

Thanks in advance, :) Callahan in MT.

Hi ToolMan,

Yep - rim-only! Just got back from the tire shop,, spun the

"replacement rim" - needed 1 1/2 oz, the "original" was

slightly bent, needed 1oz - kept the original. Both spins

were without tire!

When you look at the dealer price for these stock rims = $315 -

TDR should jump on some sort of volume-purchase deal with

Dodge!!!

Back at ya!

jdc:rolleyes:

Yeah but with the 2500's anyway the guys change rims so often that if you look in the classified section or even in PAY IT FORWARD you'll see em. Yeah that is in spec but the rim tyre combo would wobble and shake a bit.
