Hi guys... quick question foy you all. will 2001 aluminum take offs fit my 98. 5??? I have stock steel and hate them. . {6. 5}:(

Wondered about brake clearance. . thank you soo much

You have to have the rear brake drums turned down. If you have a set of the aluminum Mags, I will trade you for a set of steel chrome 7" wheels that I have my snow tires mounted on. Trouble is you live on the wrong coast. Also they set in further then the normal wheels for those years. SNOKING

Sorry

They won't fit... ... I just tried my set off a 2000 3/4 ton on a 1999 3/4 ton. They rubbed on the caliper and on the tierod end. I was trying to sell my rims... . obviously no sale!!!

they will fit!!! but only if you are willing to do the following... .

Turn down the rear brake drums with a brake lathe. You will know where when you try to put one on. In the front, you will have to grind down the steering knuckle and align the flat of the castle nut parallel to the rim. When you then get it on the front, turn the wheel all the way right (to check the left side) and see how much you have to gring off the tie rod end. Mine only hit the steel ring that goes on the rubber boot. I opted for a set of 7" alcoas. I didnt wanna do all the gringing and then later find out where the tires would be hitting... ... RRR
