The current stock rims are ok but, the plastic covers are wore out. I tried simulators but none are offered in a seven hole design The ones I have found have four holes which would be silly trying to cover seven holes with only four. Was thinking about going with a different set of rims and do away with covers or simulators. Thought I would turn to everyone here on which manufacturers are better, pit falls and stuff to look for. Some have differnet backspacing which I have no clue what the stock numbers are. I have looked at Eagle Alloys and was wondering just how good they are? I would like a set of Alcoas but for the price it's a little out of reach for what I want to spend. Not looking for anything crazy or wild just a good set of rims.

Thanks,

Scott

The ones from Eagle Alloys are

American eagle aloys

I have a set of AMERICAN EAGLES ON MY EXCURSION. They look like the second set you have in mind with the classic look of the holes. I like these wheels as they are made in tne USA. I got them for about the same price that the chinese wheels were going for. If i were you I would go with AMERICAN made products while we still can.

How much are those Eagle rims and do they fit on front and back (inside/outside)? I just got the dually simulators from Summitt racing and they don't look bad. Cost just over $100 SS t304 made in China. They were summit brand but came in the Phoneix box so I think they are really Phoenix snapon simulators.

Dave,

I am finding them for around 600-700 so far. I tried a set of bolt on simulators from Pacific Duallies, they were t-304 stainless as well. The only problem was that the simulator was a 4 hole not 7 like the rims. The stainless simulators were not bad, the fit was perfect and looked good on the truck but, covering 7 holes with 4 looked funny.

Now I did say 7 holes not seven lugs, lol.

Bob,

Thats a concern as well. The Eagle Alloys are rated for 2600 lbs each, that might be too close for comfort on the front end. I need to weigh the truck to see just what the front end weighs. I think I will be ok on the rear.
