Hey guys! question for ya. I have a 90' w250 and want to put

1 ton rims on it. There's a guy selling them in the classified section, but their from a 94'. I want to believe that as long as their 8 bolt they should fit. If anyone can answer this I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, I don't really have any experience with this but I found some info that may help. It looks like the wheels will fit but there may be an issue with the lug nuts and center caps. Check this thread: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=58071&highlight=brother

And I know that OldSmoky has some 2nd gen wheels on his rig, you can see it here: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displaygallery.php?userid=4552

Hope this helps a bit,

Cheers,

Sean

edit- I'm assuming that you're talking about single rear wheels and not a dually.

1 ton wheels

My first question here is are you talkin about putting dually wheels on a single wheel truck? And if thats the case you will need adapters. The spacing of the hubs for single wheel and dually are very different. There are several companies that make very nice adaptors to do this conversion. Good luck Seth

1 ton rims

Hello cummins2go and fredflinstone the rims off the 96' are duallies. I know about the possibility of adaptors, the thing I'm

most concerned about is the bolt pattern anif they will fit on a

90' truck. Thanks for helping me.

Hey, guys. The taper on the lug nuts are different between first and second gens. I just had the tire shop install big chrome nuts with the correct taper when I had my wheels installed and tires changed over, so I cant tell you what the taper is. I'm not sure what year my wheels came off of (maybe '96-'97) but I would think that they would be similar. Hope this helps.
