Hey there guys this has been posted on here before but I can't get any of to work on my phone. I'm looking for a 12v takeing off and running through the gears and one of one idleing or idleing with a couple revs I have a verizon motorola E 815 phone I'v tried the one posted on here I send it to my phone but I can't set it as a ringer and help or files that work I would appreciate it.

Oh yea if you have some you can just send it to me phone (574) 320-6595 thanks again guys

come on guys please I some of you on here have these ringtones on your phone and I have searched everywhere I can think of to find them

i've not seen any 12v stuff i think everyone just uses the isb wav file that's so common on the website, my razr wouldn't accept and play the wav file so i converted it to a mp3 and it now works on my phone here it is if you want to try it, i used a free sound editor called Audacity i guess with something like that you could edit just about any wav file to something phone friendly like a mp3

Use the recorder thing in the phone to make your own ringtone. I haven't gotten a good "sample" yet, but am working on finding the right "grunting" up the hill sound--without the wind noise.

Or maybe just have the wife hold the phone while I do a 100mph fly by. :-laf

Wow i really want that as a ringtone. Im not to good with computers so do you think i could get one of you guys to just send it to my phone please. I would really appreciate it.

For those of us with somewhat old Motorola iDEN Nextel phones (I have the i870 which is at least 2 years old... ) - I have converted the infamous ISB startup . mp3 to a . wav file - which can be assigned as a ringtone. I edited it down to 5 seconds before converting it.

I use a program called "dBpower AMP Music Converter" to transcode all my ringtones (except for MIDI tones... ) into the following format specs:

Wave (. wav)

Bit depth - 8-bit

Sampling rate - 8000Hz

mono - NOT stereo

That is the format which will work on older Motorola iDEN phones. Convert it JUST BEFORE you transfer the files to the phone - if you open/edit the files with Windows Sound Recorder - they will fail to transfer successfully. 8-bit/8kHz/mono audio sounds kinda rough, but it is the only format that will work on these older phones.

You then have to use another program called iDEN WebJAL (made by Motorola) to upload the files using a USB cable.

It is a bit of a convoluted process, but the end result is sweet. To name a few, I have the Dukes of Hazzard, A-Team and CHiPs theme songs for ring tones... I also have Grateful Dead tunes and movie quotes saved as ring tones.

There is a WEALTH of information out there on the WWW on how to convert/transfer and manage ring tones for specific phone models put out by the various carriers.

Have fun! :)

Matt
