Last night,a neighbor lost his outbuildings, three antique cars & firetruck.
He also lost a '97 with only 60 K on the clock. We were wondering if there was a possibility that the engine may be possible to rebuild,as it was sheltered by the doghouse. In any case, it was a real shame as he had just bought my old '92 chev as a beater truck and was getting ready to do a full repaint on the 3500 because the roof paint was starting to fail. This guy does beatiful work on hot rods, and we were really looking forward to seeing a 12 valve in pristine shape.
There were fire trucks from 6 different towns, and they finally brought in a track-hoe to peel the metal roof away so they could extinguish the remains. The building is flat on the ground. The fire was almost certainly caused by lightning
