Did dealer dup my Dad?

ULSD once and for all

Last night,a neighbor lost his outbuildings, three antique cars & firetruck.

He also lost a '97 with only 60 K on the clock. We were wondering if there was a possibility that the engine may be possible to rebuild,as it was sheltered by the doghouse. In any case, it was a real shame as he had just bought my old '92 chev as a beater truck and was getting ready to do a full repaint on the 3500 because the roof paint was starting to fail. This guy does beatiful work on hot rods, and we were really looking forward to seeing a 12 valve in pristine shape.

There were fire trucks from 6 different towns, and they finally brought in a track-hoe to peel the metal roof away so they could extinguish the remains. The building is flat on the ground. The fire was almost certainly caused by lightning

sorry to hear, nothing worse then losing old vehicles. Glad nobody was hurt though.

I once read in a clasiic automobile rag a story about a gentlemne who was getting his roof tarred and the roof gave away dumping hot tar into an old Stutz BearCat. Maybe next time he'll remember to take the car out of the garage.

I think I know the outbuilding your talking about..... is it outside of Gordon on 722? What happened? He had some neat stuff there.

Gary

I live outside of Ithaca.

Update

The fire was so hot that the turbo was melted away. The metal battery trays just disappeared. Truck is just scrap. Yup,it is on 722,and lightning is probable cause, but investigators are not sure if lightning or electric wiring.

Anyone know where there is a low mileage 1997 12 valve? I figure that the insurance co. will try to low ball the payout.
