I just ordered the exhaust today, great guy to talk to, very knowledgeable. I'm just wondering of who has the system got the muff or left it off, i love the sound with it off but i don't know if my dad will lol He rode in my friends truck that is straight piped but we had the windows down and we were hammerin on it, so we couldn't get a steady exhaust note outa it let alone a drone, so I'm wonderin how bad will the drone be and at what rpm range, and how the install went? Thanks for any info Oo.

I have drivin Rips personal truck which has his system with the allied muffler, no drone at any rpm range. With the straight 4inch though I would expect drone above 2000.

I got Rips system with the Allied truck muffler. At highway speed there is no drone in fact I think it is a little quieter then stock. Now pulling my 12k 5er I do notice a drone if you want to call it that in sixth gear if I am around 1800 rpm and pulling a small grade. If you shift down the sound is gone. I feel you will get drone, resonation, sharping or whatever you want to call it at a certain rpm with any system that has a deeper tone to it.

His 4" exhaust system has the trickest tailpipe I've seen on a Ram... and tight to the bottom of the truck too! After lookin' at his system (on his Ram) the other day (and listening to it), I have to admit, I'm just about ready to change out my Banks s/s system for his.

i just got my Rip's exhaust yesterday andf installed it in an hour and a half, taking my time. Its sounds gooooood. At idle its quietter, but when u get it on, its makes a sound. I like it better than my 3", no res. , and a flowmaster. I lowered my egt's and raised the boost 3 psi. Great buy! Good luck

I just got his system as well in the mail today and the box is taped and buggered and everything. well I was wondering, I bought the clamp set for the hangers and I have some nuts missing from 3 clamps and I see a hanger labeled D1, D2, D3, D4



on 1,2,3 there is a rod welded to it for the hanger. on D4, there is a clamp and a bigger bar that was taped to it. also doesn't have the pin in the end as if a hanger. what is that for and is there only 3 hangers? or more?

The wife loves it... she says; where is that big truck noise coming from?? Us?? with a big smile.

I sound deadened the entire truck also with b-quiet.com

Roll up the window turn up the stereo or roll down right window a little and listen to the cummins purr.
