I just finished installing a 4" system from Rip. The box arrived from Brown torn with a pipe partially protruding from the box.

The combination of directions that came from Diamond and Rip definately helped save time. I would definately recommend (as it says in the directions) to test fit each piece before starting the install. I had to bang and grind on the pipe that UPS bent. It took me about 4hrs, but I went slow. I am definately glad I had my Sawzall because I had to make several cuts since this is a universal kit to fit long and short beds.

Starting the truck put an instant smile on my face. It sounds great now. It has a deep bellowing sound almost like a big rig. There is also a distinct 6cyl exhaust note.

I would definately recommend this product.

Thanks Rip!!!

I went with the kit w/muffler. The sound is perfect. Plenty loud. A slight blip of the throttle at idle makes people turn and look.

After I got home last night, I noticed the tail pipe section had twisted a little. I had some problems getting it clamped securely. I'm thinking of cutting a slit in the female joint so it will clamp tighter..... suggestions?

After installing my Magnaflow system, I went to an exhaust shop and had them tack weld all the connections in two spots. SNOKING

I have RIPs 5" straight. Fit was good. I would have had to get it installed because it cam with loose hangers. 1/2" thick prebent ones that are awesome. I got a few quotes of $200 to install and weld. I ended up buying a small mig and doing it myself. Now I have a RIP 5" straight AND a mig welder.

That phrase almost brought a tear to my eye. My kind of guy

Got my Rip's 4" and 5" stainless tip the other day. Doesn't appear to have been roughed up any by "brown". :) Can't wait to put 'er in. Thinking about using the MIG after everything is in place. At least some tacks.

First, I need to put in my B&W hitch. Probably be easier to get that in first.

Great idea. I had to modify mine a little to clear the gooseneck.

Got the hitch installed yesterday. The hitch takes some of the space above the tail pipe where it humps over the axle. I tried to envision the extra diameter in there, but it's hard to say how the new pipe will go through there until I try it. Might be able to make up for it by rotating the pipes just right, or hack and weld if necessary. What did you need to do? :)

All the men in my neighborhood loves the sound mine has, Rips with no mufflers. Of course, the wives thinks its too loud. Nothing like going thru a tunnel and nailing it!! :)

I had to shorten the pipe where it bends up in front of the axle. This brought the height of the hump over the axle down as well as moving the tailpipe forward and away from the spare tire. I really like the way it turned out. I also had to modify the hangers on my stock pipe to clear the goosneck hitch when I first installed it so it sounds like the B&W left you more room than I had :)

I have a B&W Turnover hitch on my shortbed. I installed a MBRP 4" 2 weekends ago. The only place it gets close is at the spring loaded u-bolt, inch to 1 1/2" of clearance.
