Rise in EGT with new Amsoil Air filter????

Everytime I fool with my truck, I end up changing more than one thing. Bad habit, as I never can tell what made a difference for sure.



Just wondering if you changed something else at the same time.

The thing that bothered me about K&N when I ran one, is that they suggested extra oil and a foam prefilter for high dust conditions. Well, where goes your flow after you add all that?





I'm also tired of squeezing oil into foam. I will probably be trying the BHAF soon, just for kicks.

Just a thought. Are you sure the filter is installed correctly? The metal screen should be up on the Dodge/Cummins application.

I agree with Ted unless you really are stepping on it harder after the change. But I can't imagine anything being MORE restrictive than a stock paper filter! I haven't tried the Amsoil tho! Mine has 1/5th the restriction of the k&n(stock size). Craig
