Well, we are heading out to Tyler TX, so wish us luck and honk or wave if you see the black 02 4X4 dually with BFG MT's and white "HotRodDiesels.com" decals on each back window, and a silver 04 4X4 dually with a bed cap.

I am home from HELL ON EARTH!! 24 HOURS IN TRAFFIC!!!



So glad my trucks not a 6spd! Stop Go Stop Go... For 18 hours #@$%! #@$%!



I am sitting on HWY146 its 1AM we are blazing along at about 0 to 6mph when a certain 04 silver dually in front of me stops short... I do the same... Then I feel this little nudge from behind and the rear of my truck lifts up a little

I am thinking, oh hell... my rear bumper is toast I pull forward and the sound of shearing metal fills the air... I get pulled off to the side of the road and look at my STOCK rear bumper. I am shocked to see NO damage AT ALL! Just as I look back at the poor little Focus that was under my truck, to see that it had a totaled hood and both front fenders! :-laf

The guy was rather shaken up, as he had nearly hit his windshield on my bumper.

I told him to not worry about it and he agrees, I get in my truck and force my way back in to line.



In all I smoked 1 Caddy, 1 Olds (perfect shot, still had smoke lingering around it as it left the cloud) , and 1 Pontiac. and yes, a lonely Comp box can raise some hell!



We made 80 miles on 17 gallons and in 18 hours, made it to Dayton TX and sat in Dayton for about 5 hours (Dayton was a hell hole, people were getting very crazy and were going into survival mode, we had to get out) waiting to see what the storm would do next.

I finally make a phone call and get us 103 gallons of the red stuff that tends to come out black.

The race to Channelview was on to pick it up. We faced no traffic and made it there in about 25 minutes.

We go home to Galveston, spent the night and head out the next morning (Friday) loaded with plenty of fuel.

We ended up in Bay City TX, got a room at the Cattlemens Motel, and stayed the night.

The next morning we got up at 7am and drove home, no traffic, nothing, just lots of cross winds.



And thats my story of three days of hell!



Oh, did I mention that the city of Houston is calling the evacuation a "success" #@$%! Bill White can KISS MY ***!!

Man saw all that on tv. In cases like that in mass evac. All lanes of traffic should be used to get out. I could not belive 6 lanes going the same way plugged up solid. Yet the other 6 lanes going the other way are totally empty.

I really hope this country is learning from this right now.
