SuperFlow dyno results

You asked for it you get it.

The Colorado Power Stroke Club, The Rocky Mountain Turbo Diesel Registry Club (Cummins) and The Rocky Mountain Diesel Place Club (Dmax) will be having a DYNO DAY on Saturday, April 16th from 8am to whenever we git-r-done at Greeley Automotive Machine's brand new SuperFlow dyno. This is a load dyno, kinda like the Mustang dyno at ATS. The cost for this dyno will be $40 for three good pulls. We will have food served throughout the day by a vendor (menu annouced soon). I will also try and get some prizes gathered up for some free giveaways (if anyone has a business that would like to contribute something, please let me know).

Greeley Automotive Machine is located at 404 8th Avenue in Greeley and is owned by Bruce Yackey (Nascar Autolite Series driver). He is a really great guy and is looking forward to sharing his facilities with us and learning more about our diesel beasts.

Rules will be:

No changing out components while hooked on the dyno. Only flip chips allowed (a second to change programs). You will get three good pulls (spiked runs or otherwise bad runs will not count). First come, first serve.

**We will need volunteers to come work with the dyno that day. We need lots of help hooking and unhooking trucks and general organization of the dyno line. If you can volunteer some time (part day or all day), please post below with what times you will be there! We need all the help we can get!!

FYI: Greeley Automotive Machine's website: www.gamracingengines.com

Shoot me a PM if you plan to attend. This is gonna be good. Oo. Oo. Oo.

We are all looking forward to this! LaserBob has been working really, really hard to get this dyno all ready for us to run, and he wants to see a huge showing.

Even if you do not plan on running, plan on coming out to watch!! We will make sure we have lots of other things going on too!! Maybe some past video to watch or something along those lines... ... . :D :D

Hope to see you all there!

MAPQUEST

I'll plan to be there and can help with most anything.

We owe a big thanks to LaserBob for the months of working with this outfit to get us a day on the rollers.

All right David, you keep catching me in my "family friendly vehicle". One of these days, I'll catch you when I'm in White Lightening. :-laf

Hey Mike, I'll be there and would be more than willing to help in any possible way. I'll be bringing the wife and child plus another guy I'm trying to get to put a Cummins in his older Ford he will also help. PM me on the specifics. Hope to have my twins in by then also :)

Sounds like fun to me, I'll try to be there. I might even dyno for a change :D .

Shay,

I want to see you race the "other" big black excursion in town. I've been told that it will blow anything away, yet it looks to have the stock exhaust  .

Matt

Matt,

My truck is always expecting. It just doesn't know what to expect from day to day. One day work, next day play~~~~what next?

To all who are wondering:

This is a Superflow dual eddy current load/inertia dyno. (SF-840) It has already been christened in by a few of the local hot rods and most have gone home smiling. :-laf

We are still working out a few small details for the showdown day, but to any of you who want to come up in advance to play, just call GAM and ask for Bruce. He is open for business.

This dyno will work your truck! I have seen more than one owner start to look nervous :--) as his vehicle groaned on the straps when the dyno puts the load to it.

Superflow Corp has made a fine unit. I am proud to say that Greeley Automotive Machine has one here so now the (HP) truth can be told. :-{} #@$%!

:D :D Run what you brung, but hope that you brung enough. :D :D

LaserBob

A few prize promises are already coming in from businesses for our prize drawing!! As I actually get them in hand, I will post what I have.

I also hope to have a TV there playing video of past events, so if anyone has a tape of some past events, please let me know.

We also need to come up with a catchy name for the fliers. I have just been calling it the Tri Club Dyno Day, but would like to incorporate GAM's name in there and maybe "diesel" too. But not make it too long. Once we get the fliers done, if you know of someplace that you can put one up, let me or Mike know and we will get one emailed to you.

Vendor menu is starting to come together. Will have some grilled food and some special items. I will keep you all updated on that.

We are working on that right now. Nothing but $ and time keeping it from happening!

We will have more display than just the operator's screen.

Sounds like fun. I think I may try and make this one!! Now, all I have to do is find some time to put in these 370's so I can dyno the old girl again :{ :p :-laf

Joe

Joe, if ya can't find time to put them jectors in, I can find time to put'em in mine. You know they go bad if you let them sit on your bench for more than a year. See ya there. :D
