Colorado Charity Dyno Day update

I would like to remind everyone about the upcoming charity dyno day at PFI in Fort Collins, CO. on Oct. 1st. This is an all diesel event with the Powerstroke club and the D-Max clubs. Shay from the Powerstroke club is lining most things up as I am very busy at work at this time. Please post here or on the other post Shay started if you are willing to come and also if you would be willing to spend some time assisting with trucks. Shay is going to start a sign up sheet to schedule help at certain times so the same ole people do not have to spend the whole day doing it. The funds we raise will be going to Childrens Hospital this year, so it would be nice if you at least came and made a donation even if you do not dyno your truck. I am looking forward to seeing eveyone and hope you are having a great summer. Let's make this a successful event for the kids we can help out in the small way that we can.

Mike L.

RMTDR President

The Charity Dyno Day and Truck Show is drawing closer, so we need to get on the ball and start getting organized.

What we need is donations from businesses for our prize raffle. Anything..... truck parts, gift certificates, whatever. The business will get a receipt for what they donate, as it will be tax deductable. And remember, it doesn't have to be truck related. It can be from a restaurant or shop or anything. So hit up everyone you know. I am also taking reservations for booths from performance shops. It is free to set up a booth, all I ask is that your business make a donation, either in prize or cash. This will be first come, first serve, so get your request into me soon.

Every bit of money we bring in that day will go to the Children's Hospital. I will be going down there soon to see exactly where we want the money we raise to go.

This is the time to start giving your input and suggestions on what you would like to see this year.

I also have fliers that can be distributed around, so if you would like to help out in that area just shoot me an email and I will email one back to you to print out. Just be sure you ask the business before posting it.

So, don't forget... .

Ahh, Bobs not old yet..... :-laf LOL. Do you know how ancy Bob would be if he wasn't in the middle of things? Plus the fact that the shop area would never run smoothly without him!! :) We'd all be lost.

I went last year but for the life of me cant remember how to get there. How about some directions from I-25

Directions:

From I-25 take Exit 265 (Harmony Exit). Go 4. 3miles west on Harmony to US 287/College Ave. Turn left on 287 and go south 1 mile to Bueno drive. Turn left/East on Bueno drive. Bueno drive is across from Tynans Nissan dealership as your nearing the top of that little hill. PFI is at 5720 Bueno Dr. Smokey St is the next left to the south after Bueno Dr. This may be the better to get to PFI. Look for black smoke and lots a trucks.

Okay guys, the TDR and Geno's Garage are donating to the dyno day. I need someone to do an article for the TDR magazine. Are there any budding writers out there who would be interested in having an article published in the TDR mag?? Let me know who is interested.

Mike L.

If nobody else volunteers Mike, I can do it. I've written a few articles for some diesel publications. And I promise it would include all the brands. :)

Might be better though if it was written from somebody not so close to the whole thing. If not, then I will just have to get quotes from others.

Shay

I should be there. I probably won't dyno, but I'll strap trucks.

I can even kinda sorta write, too-- so if you want some help with the writeup, that's "write up" my alley:-laf:

Oh, and you can check out my sweet powercore air filter:)

Justin

Justin,

I look forward to meeting you there and will take full advantage of your offer to strap trucks. We can always use a good hand. I am looking forward to seeing everyone there. The donations for the kids is what this is about.

Mike L.

Ok people, it's time to get commited to this dyno day. I need to know who's coming and who can help. The same old crew is not going to do everything this time, so let's step up to the plate and make a good showing. I will be there early and will stay till close to the end, but I can only do so much. See everyone there and come enjoy doing things for a good cause. If nothing else stop by and make your donation and buy some raffle tickets.

MIke L.

I'll be there!!

Central Motive Power is donating something(s) BIG for the raffle. My boss hinted at a 1500kw generator, but there may be more along the lines of performance goodies, not just a case of stanadyne.

I am also going to bring the work Star Tester to do diagnostic checks (KOER PID sheet) on Fords for, say a $30 or $40 cash donation to the charity ($127. 50 value). I'd bring the DRBII for the Dodges, and the Tech II for the Chevys, but they don't do much in the manner of operational tests. I'll probably still have my generic scanner for code checks and clearing.

Mike I'll be there, I can help and 1 or 2 of my buddies can to. How much is it Dyno? I'll spread the word up here in Fort Collins to those guys that don't get out much.

Okay, this event is starting to come together. Prizes for the drawing are starting to come in and I expect many more in the upcoming days leading up to the event. Here is a list of just a few to get you guys going:

- various t-shirts and hats

- $500 gift certificate to DP Tuner (Jody Tipton) - plus Jody and Diane Tipton are sending a cash donation!!

- BlueSun Biodiesel

- gift certificates for Geno's Garage (through TDR)

- Aero-Turbine

Now mind you, this is just a partial list. I will add more stuff as it actually hits my hand.

ALSO, we have a caterer who is going to supply some really great food for the day. The menu will include Breakfast burritos & coffee for the early crowd. Bar-b-que, hot dogs, salads, chips, desserts, pop, tea and lemonade. Lunch meals will be in the $6 range. I have heard that this lady is a great cook, so bring your cash and be ready to eat!!

DON'T FORGET:

The money raised from this event (all proceeds - PFI and the clubs will not take home a penny from this) will go towards a "special fund" at Children's Hospital. This fund will go towards books for the kids, the daycare center for the brothers and sisters of the ill children and bedside goody bags for the kids who are too sick to get up and go into the playrooms. Trust me, very worthy cause!

I am still looking for donations for the prize drawing, as well as cash donations. I will take anything, restaurant gift certs, performance shop gift certs, car wash gift certs, truck parts, ANYTHING! So get out there and hit up your local businesses! Remind them that this is tax deductable and let me know if they want a receipt. I can provide that for them.

Check back soon for the volunteer sign up sheet for hooking and unhooking trucks on the dyno!

Let's all pitch in and make this a great event for the kids!!
