Colorado Charity Dyno Day update

The All Diesel Colorado Charity Dyno Day needs volunteers!!!!

We need folks who are willing to come help hook and unhook trucks on the dyno, and just generally keep the peace and help out.

What we are asking for is:

- 4-5 people per shift.

- be ready to get dirty and give time for a good cause!

Shifts are as follows:

7:30 to 10:00 am

9:30 am to noon

11:30 am to 2:00 pm

1:30 pm to 4:00 pm

3:30 pm to 6:00 pm

You can sign up for one or more shifts! You can sign up by answering here with what shift you would like to work or by emailing me at -- email address removed -- . Thanks!!

**We also need/want vendors to come out and set up a booth and show your products! All we ask is that you make a donation to our prize drawing! To register a booth, contact me at -- email address removed -- or 970-219-7502.

***Have something cool you would like to display? Cool part, or carnage leftovers off of your truck? Do you have a blown turbo, bad injector, anything? I will have a table to display that stuff. We want to see it all! Pictures will also work, but to be able to see the real thing is even better!

Thanks,

Shay

Shay/Mike:

I can help out. So put me down for 7:30-10 and if you end up being short in the next time slot I can do that one too.

I'll be there at 7:30 and help when needed till the last truck runs. I might have a few more guys but nothing for sure. I have been hunting down all the diesels around and trying to let them know but they usually think I want race and they don't want to say two words to me after I beat them. Everyone that i have talked to keeps asking me how much it is too run their trucks i have been saying its for a good cause but they want to know.

CRead,

It's $35 to run your truck. Thanks for the offer of assistance. We will take all we can get, especially at the end of the day. Everyone is usually tired by then. See you there.

Mike L.

Thanks Cread! I will put you down as being there early in the morning. I warn you though, it makes for a very long day to stay in that garage the whole time! We will, hopefully, have enough volunteers so you don't have to do that.

And by the way, that $35 is a bargain price (3 good pulls). A recent dyno at another place in Colorado was charging $75 per truck for their dyno day and none of it went to charity. :--)

Can't say that about most dynos we put on. :D

See you ALL there!

Shay

HOOTERS GIRLS!!

Now that I have your attention, yes, the Hooters girls will be there this Saturday. We will also have the Chevy drag car that was there last year, Dream Bikes and brand new diesel pick ups from all three brands.

By the way, the $35 registration fee covers you for both the dyno and the Truck show. SO, even if you don't plan on dynoing your truck, register anyway to be judged for the Truck Show. You never know, you might win! Trophies will be provided by Dr. Bob (local dentist and car enthusiast).

Again, I would love to see a "carnage display" with parts that have broke, blown or otherwise been tore up. Doesn't matter what it was or is, bring it to share.

We also have a few more prizes to share:

- $50 gift certificate from TS Performance

- surprise prize from Central Motive Power

and more to come!!

Shay

This is going to be a great day! Tell all your friends!! We need tons of folks to show up and even more to dyno and show! But even if you don't dyno or show, just show up and give your support and enjoy the day!

Greg,

A good time was had by all. I was kinda disappointed as the attendance was only about half of what it was last year. Maybe everyone is getting burned out on them, we'll just have to see. The top Dodge was David Gross with a 731hp and ????tq. I do not have all the exact numbers yet. The best part was the burn outs at the end of the day. If you missed those you missed it all. There were some good smoke shows and some hurting tires. Thanks to PFI Power House performance and all their people we could not have done this with out them. Also Thanks to Shay Black as she always comes through on these events. Top truck of the day was a drugged out D-Max 835hp and 1500+tq. My THANKS to those who attended and especially those who helped strap trucks. Overall it was another good event. I'll post some more details as I get them.

Mike L.

How was it? GREAT! Unfortunately, I feel like those who put so much effort into putting on the event didn't get much return on investment.

I was disappointed on their behalf, seeing a somewhat small crowd in relation to all the effort that was put into making the event happen.

Mike, a REAL pleasure to finally meet you. Your truck is incredibly clean, and quite the specimen! I thought M4s were clean until I followed you up College on the way home-- can you say 5-lane blackout? Those 305s look great on the back of a 2wd truck.

I wished I would have been in a position to dyno the truck. But with no electronic trickery (not to mention no pyro), it just would have shown how much power a stock turbo can make at 26psi or so-- pointless. I'm working towards a VA/TST comp stack, which should just about max out the HO pump's fueling with M4s.

It was good to see some familiar faces (Sticks, Gary,Shay) and meet some new ones (Mike L. ).

Oh, quote of the dyno day: "Where can I find Shay?" "Just look for the lady with the flamed shirt on who looks like she could be a rockstar's girlfriend".

HEHE.

Justin

LOL Justin!! It was my flamed Diesel Innovations shirt... . Got too hot towards the middle of the day, I had to take it off. Black shirts are not always the best choice. And I'm sure that would be an old rockstar... . really, really old. :-laf

Attendance was down this year, but we still dynoed 40 trucks (2 of them being gassers) and we still made over $2500 for Children's Hospital!! I was pretty happy with that. I am wondering if maybe hunting season didn't play into the smaller crowd, we may have to change the time of year we do these charity ones. Actually when I came back from my kid's soccer games, I was pretty happy because there were tons of trucks all over the place, but then I noticed that not many of them that was I seeing ended up dynoing. :(

Thanks to everyone who helped out, planned and donated. I will have an exact total of our donation soon (still have a few donations coming in from folks who could not attend). I will also get all the results on disc, so those of you who ran can download the Dynojet software, then download your files and play with stuff on them. I also need to get those burnout videos uploaded. Guess I better had get busy!

Shay :)

Sorry I missed it but had to go out of town at the last minute. Was really looking forward to going again this year.

Shay:

Check is in the mail (yeah right)

I had a blast. I helped hook trucks from morning till about 3 when I had to go. About the only time I stopped was to eat and dyno my truck. And i'll do again any time anyone needs me. 381HP 871TQ not bad for having just a comp. I would like to thank everyone that stood around watching us hook trucks. The guys at PFI are great to do something like this. Don't be scared about that Chevy with those high numbers by the time he would get everything running I think grandma would pass him on the road. Besides the mix of white, blue, gray and black smoke and the sound of a truck on it last leg made it quite entertaining. I was a great event for a good cause and i think we need too do it again.
