Ok everyone how about a dyno day or better yet how about 2 dyno days. Colorado Diesel in Castle Rock is going to sponsor the first on Saturday April 5th 9am start. Runs are 20. 00 they are at 185 Caprice Ct in Castle Rock. Their number is 303-660-9986. That is the second Castle Rock exit (Wolfensberger Rd coming from either direction) off I-25. Head west off the highway to the first stoplight and turn right or north (Caprice). Head to the end of the street and turn right it will be on your left. Cant miss it.

The second one is on Saturday April 12th in Fort Collins. They are 25. 00 runs. Matt (mgoncalves) will post more specific info for the second location.

Here is additional info provided by Matt (mgoncalves) for Ft. Collins

Ok here is an update,

The price will be a flat rate of $25 per truck. We have a minimum of 15 trucks required to do this, so we need everybody to come. I'd guess we could run almost 30 if things go smooth. I might run my truck tommorow to get any bugs worked out and see how long it takes to get strapped down and such.

The address is 5720 s. Bueno Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80525. The shop is called PFI, they are an import performance shop but they seem pretty respectful of us diesel guys. To get there from I-25, my directions are to take the Harmony road exit (don't know the #) West to College (hwy 287). Then go South on College, until you see Tynan's car dealer ( they have a massive US flag, can't miss it). You'll turn East at the North edge of the dealers lot on Smokey Drive. Then a turn North on Bueno. I'll put up some signs once you're off of College.

I asked about if they did anything special for the auto's, they said they just put the shifter into third, run through the gears and when it shifts into third they nail the throttle. They said that this starts the graph out a little higher in rpm than with a stick shift but that's what they have been doing. Does that sound like the standard technique?

If you are going to come or at least might come, please send me a PM so I will know what kind of numbers to expect. I wouldn't want to have to invite the ford guys or anything as dramatic as that.

One more thing, they will postpone the day if it looks like we will get a big storm that day, so keep your fingers crossed for dry weather.

Thanks,

Matt

Please let me know who will be attending and which one or both. They are two different types of Dynos. I believe Colo Diesel is a Mustang and Ft Collins is a Dynojet. Am told they can run approx 25 trucks in a day. First come, first sign up. Also there will be plenty of bs to go around so even if you dont want to Dyno come on out and enjoy the company.

Hope to see you all there.

Was wondering if anyone at either Dyno Days will have an 02 Dodge that would be willing to let me try out their fueling box in my truck for a few minutes. Maybe an EZ or something a little meaner? Obviously wont hook up the pump wire, just want to see what I like before I drop $650-$700 in a box.

BarryG,

Put me down for 3 total. I'm going to try and get my truck dynoed so that I have a baseline to start from. My truck is totatlly stock now, but I plan on adding some goodies this summer and probably try and have my truck dynoed again in September:D

I'll probably be the top dog on the lower end since my truck is stock and came from the factory with a 175hp/420tq rating. I don't think I'll have any competition so you guys better watch out:D ;)

And here I was thinking that my 01 with an ez was going to walk away with it. Better watch out for Mlockner though he just got done adding a few goodies.

azcummins, it has an AFE intake, PDR HX40\16, Satge 3 injecters, 4 inch exhaust, DTT 89%, Edge comp, new lift pump, Banjo,s and misc.

Mike Lockner

azcummins, It is a regular comp box, Bully Dog injectors extrude honed I believe. I believe from what I have read that I should be around 425 hp.

I think this is going to be a huge event. I should have at least another 10 trucks coming. Have you other guys invited any other trucks? I hope there is at least one chevy and one ford

I have invited others and right now I think I have at least 4 others coming. I have a friend that has a Ford, but he said he didn't want to go because he'd send us all home crying:rolleyes:. His truck is a Banks modified 01 stroker, but I'll keep on him to see if he'll go.
