Thanks, TDR Staff

Big Thanks out to the RMTDR

Lunch April 5th at Famoous Dave's.

Sounds fun, I'm an FNG, so it should be a good learning experience.

Okay 12valvers Dee Rawson Rocky Mountain jig keeper is going to send us a kdp jig to use that day. If you are in need of the fix here's a chance. Let us know. Don't know how many can be done in a day but several I'm sure so far there is only one possible on the list.

I may be asking a little much, but would someone who will be at the RMTDR wrench day be willing to transplant their EDGE EZ (or similar model) onto my truck, and join me on a little test drive so I can see and feel the difference? At least I’m not asking to borrow someone’s injectors. :D

Well, Unfortunately, I am not sure if I will be able to make it.

I found out that I won't be in Vegas that week, but I have to go to the dentist on Saturday morning to have my wisdom teeth pulled :( :(

So we'll see how I feel on Sunday. If I'm feeling ok then I'll be there.

Sticks:

I have an 2001. 5 so as long as the plugs are the same shape I can probably part with mine for a few moments. If I remember some have oval plugs and some have triangular. Mine are oval if I remember correctly. l

BarryG,

Thanks. I was a little worried that I may have over stepped the bounds of good taste.

I have no idea what plugs I have, and only a vague idea where they are located. I have read all of the installation procedures for the different manufactures, but unless I have the part that is supposed to be connected in my hand, I have no idea what I'm looking for. Kind of a square peg in a round hole avoidance thing.

No problem we can find out when you get there it will literally only take five minutes to hook up. See you there.

Any possiblity of getting some exhaust work done? The resonator from my 2002 truck (replaced with a 4" system) is itching to replace the cat on the ol' 95 truck. Would like to make it so I can slip the cat in for the annual emissions inspection. I have the flat band clamps to replace the OEM ones which crimp the pipe and a Big hammer, I just need a torch to heat things up cherry red so it can be beat apart.

I'm also interested in the KDP jig fix.

1tuff:

Can't speak about the exhaust and the torch but Mike will probably chime in with an answer. The KDP jig if you want I can put you on the list you would be number 3 or number 4. Have two that are on the list and another who asked but haven't heard back a confirmation from him yet. Let me know

I would love to come to the wrench day and witness an injector change. Looks like a good way to save some money. :) I had to miss the gathering at ATS so maybe I can make this one and meet some new CTD drivers.

If at all possible would one of you DTT modified guys like to take me for a ride. I am wanting to upgrade my transmission, but would like to see how it feels first.

Hey, mlocker what are you going to do with your 275's. I'd be happy to store them under my hood for you. :-laf :-laf

Hope to make it on the 9th!!!

Barry, don't know about exhaust work. I'll ask.

jman, the 275's are going under another hood that same day. I have a DTT transmission and would be glad to take you for a ride. Keep in mind I really will not be able to get on it as the new turbo will not be broken in yet. I will see you if you make it.

Mike L.

Jman, As Mike Lockner, I also have the DTT setup, along with the Smart controller and the pac brake if you are interested in test driving my truck.

I should be there at the meet, pending on how I feel that day. If I can't make it, you are welcome to test drive my truck anytime you wish.

Will someone help me install gauges in my truck at the wrench days? Kind of new to this whole thing and dont really know how to do a gauge install.

Yes, a guage install primer would be most helpful to see. I am hesitant to try it myself unless seeing a demonstration first. Good suggestion!

Gauge install could probably be accomplished. They really aren't hard to put in. As long as you have all the parts and fittings should be no problem. I do have an extra tapped banjo bolt if one is needed for a fp gauge. I also have a bit and tap for a 1/8 npt that I could bring along if needed. If I recall the hardest part is just feeding everything underneath the dash and through the firewall.
