Cummins Rocky Mountain Booster Open House May 3 - DENVER

Upper Midwest Spring opener

I was wondering who was planning on going to the Cummins Power Boosters open house and BBQ this Saturday here in Denver. Anyone going??? I was thinking about going if there were going to be some other members there. This sounds like a nice deal and a rather large event. Maybe we can meet and sit together someplace or something.

Mike:

I will be going for sure. Lets hook up there. I have never been there before so I don't know where to say we can meet maybe we could even meet before getting there. I also posted a thread about what is happening there and will be sending out a mass email about it to all those that we got email addresses from at the ATS meet. PM me or give me a call 814-6898.

Barry,

We'll talk later this week about meeting up or something. I guess for FREEEEE you can't go wrong. I believe they are giving some things away also. I wonder if the store will be open also, would be a good opportunity for folks to stock up on filters, lift pumps and what not.

Mike

I would be interested in meeting up with other RMDTR members. I'm new to TDR this year and would like to see other rigs to get some ideas and see first hand what guys have done. (See it to beleive it kind of guy).

Please PM

I'll be there! It gets pretty crowded. They have a GOOD BBQ! They sent out a parts order form that they recommend be faxed back so your order will be ready. Really good prices on filters - like $8. 02 for 3894s. I think they give out name stickers. We could add "TDR Member" with our name, for ID. Or maybe "TDR + our post name". Craig

That's a good idea Craig. Does anybody have any ideas on where we could meet up before hand, I am not familiar with that area of town.

Barry,

There's not much out that way. Rocky Mountain is the next exit after the Flea Market exit (88th). Only town close is Commerce City or Brighton. There are a few place off of 88th on the north side of I-76. A couple of gas stations, a Motel 8 (not sure it might be a Days Inn).

Barry,

I know I'm going to take some flack for this, but at the Pecos exit off I76 they are building a place called Oasis Caberet that is not open yet but has a huge parking lot where we could meet and it is on the way to Rocky Mtn. Cummins. Just a suggestion. I don't typically hang out around these kinds of places and since it's not open yet it should be alright to meet there.

MLocker,

There is a bar off of Sheridan too, I can remember the name but they have a large parking lot. I figured you might know the name. Something like the Roadhouse or ?

judgekato, you are correct, but I can't remember the name of that place either. I think it's a biker type hang out. Either place would work for me. Pecos is a shorter distance from I25 for people who would be coming in from the north or south to travel west before we headed east to the Cummins place. Like I said it don't matter to me.

I may go if things work out. I was there a couple years ago and it was pretty cool. Lots of people for sure. Also, a lot of information on filtration and such. I think the 03's will be the main focus this year, but still some good info. The year I was there Bennett's BBQ catered it. :p :D

I Second the motion, all in favor ...

Welcome to the TDR Crew...

I'm glad to see the chatter on the CRM event. We are having BBQ again, (even a better company than last year), and have great guests and speakers, and trucks on display. The Diesel Dragster will be there, and many of the new 03 models, and some HD trucks. KW, Volvo, Pete, International, etc...

Seminar stuff should be great.

Wait till you see the latest logo for hats and clothing!!

OK, here's a peek:

Okay, I believe we have agreed to meet at the location at I76 and Pecos. To get there from I25 go West on I76 to the Pecos exit "which is the first exit West from I25", then South on Pecos to get to the Oasis Caberet. There is a giant parking lot we can meet in. What time does everyone want to meet up? I believe the thing at the Cummins place starts at 10:00. I believe this thing has a huge turn out and we may wind up walking some distance after we park. I'm not familiar with the area where Cummins is located and how much parking they do have. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Barry, if you need to know more call me at 303-423-8417.

Cummins parking lot is big but from what you guys are hinting at it will be full. There is a GMC dealer next door ( This should be good, that dealer also sell the heavy duty line of GMCs). Other than that there is the frontage road and some other smaller businesses.

8:30 9:00

I can find that. Scott told me they open the gates at 9 so I think if we meet at 8:30 or so we should have time to I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER chat before we need to head on over. I will send out another email to the rest of the guys to inform them of this pre-event meet. See you then.
