road armor bumpers.

who has a road armor bumper that all the paint is peeling off around the edges. installed mine in on april 25 2004, took a good look at it today and found all the paint on all the edges is coming off in sheets. there are spider web marks and cracks in all the flat surfaces and the rust is showing threw. i will take pics later today and post them.



talked to jim at road armor. he said they ship 150 units per month and have less than 1% problems with paint. mine is silver. he said they would paint and powder coat it for free, but i have to pay the shipping both ways to have it done, even if it is warranty work. not too happy with that.

Wow, that's about $600 worth of shipping! You could probably get it done locally for that much. I would ask him to arrange for local powder coating. I have had mine on for just over a month. I also have the silver, and have some cracking in the clearcoat, but only on the front shackel mounts. I'm assuming it's from the weight of the bumper resting on them during shipping. I don't have any other paint problems except for a rock chip in the rear bumper -- that one's my fault.

Hey how long did you have to wait??

The reason I ask is my BUMPER IS PEELING In sheets,,I sent E-MAILS,,lettters with pictures,,paint samples,,etc... ...

No one there seems to care that there product is CRAP an not will to make right...

I have MANY PICTURES to show ,,,,it any one would like to see what you can get for your BIG BUCKS,,,,,Bumper was less then 6 months old when,,started pealing and RUSTING. .
