Has anyone tried one of these bumpers?:D Found the ad in Petersons Off Road Magazine. I have never found a bumper that really followed the lines of our trucks like this one and it looks very strong to boot!!:D

We have been discussing them in the "Aftermarket Bumper" thread here. They look neat, but for $2000... ... they aint that neat.

Chad. . I don't know... ... ... ... ... ... . $2k is a chunk of money!!!!!But the best exterior improvement we can make IMHO..... Imagine that thing painted body color with some big (_. _) driving/fogs... .

Lotto/Powerball. . whats it gonna take?

Wasn't Roadarmor the company that made the ugly all-lexan tops for Jeeps, and the absolutely silly "armor" (yeah, right) for Jeeps that extended up the hood and all? The company that ended up screwing over it's customers by taking their orders, charging their cards, and using the money to pay off their debts all while never shipping product?

Or is that a different Roadarmor?

Hmmm interesting?? But you could just reverse your charges on your CC.

Road armor as an independent company did not take Credit Cards. It is a business night mare story. There was a silent partner that one night locked up all the equipement and facilities with a note on the door saying never to come back. He had to break in to get his personal tools and supplies but lost his CAD equipement and Data. He was in limbo for a while thus unable to fill orders. The company was bought by RSI. They are an industrial metal fab shop, they put the roof on the Portland OR airport. They also own Trail Ready. I think that Jim and Larry(RSI) deserves a second chance because Jim was screwed. They has been very good to a friend of mine.

I am planning of stopping to to talk to those guys with my friend in the next month or so. I'll try to give a little review of the operation and the quality of their product.

Ah, a guy with an "in". Since you sort of know these people see about a break in the price. Ill tell you all what. If I hit that powerball, I will buy everyone who responded to this thread and the other bumper thread a new road armor bumper:p You cant ask for any more than that!

Chad,

I will definitely take you up on that if you hit the power ball. I know that Road armor has done group purchases in the past, not though tdr but for Jeep stuff. I don't know when I would be able of go out there at this point but I would also like to talk to them about designs specifically for diesels.

I was hopeing to hit something so I would have a good reason to get one of these bumpers. I would be interested in a group purchase.

Nope. . But I've talked to some of their former customers. I wouldn't put that stuff they used to make for Jeeps on mine. The Ram bumper looks nice, but the Jeep stuff they used to make (no idea if they still do) just screams low rider/poser. The guys on the Trucks! tv show put their bumpers and "armor" on the yellow CJ-7 they built up. . That was such a nice looking Jeep till they did that. :)

Hopefully they've turned around, as that Ram bumper does look nice.
