I am looking at maybe getting a new front bumper... . Been looking at the road armor bumper... is there someone else out there that maybe i should look at also?

Doughboy21kd,

I just ordered the S/S front and rear www.reunel.com bumpers, they are offering a sale price for there is a show at the San Mateo fairgrounds (1,300 savings). You might want to search previous posts on bumpers and see what others have said about different bumper manufacturers. just my . 02 worth, good luck.

I have an Iron Horse front bumper on my 2005 and I really love it. Paid about $650 and the quality is very good. It is a full bumper not just guard. I bought it from Trailer Wheel and Frame in Houston, TX.

I am running the Road Armor bumper. It is a little pricey, but I love it. I did however, change out my front shocks after installing the extra weight... <BR>

Road Armor vs. Buck Stop

I recently selected Buck Stop after shopping for bumpers. I initially wanted to spend the $$ for Road Armor, but had to change my mind after dealing with their phone staff.

They couldn't readily quote any prices, couldn't answer any questions, and did not return calls when they said they would. It was almost as if their primary business line isn't bumpers, at all.

My experience with Buck Stop has been fantastic! Knowledgeable sales staff that are genuinely concerned with making the customer happy.

It's too bad that a company like Road Armor, is willing to place it's reputation in the hands of poorly qualified, $6 an hour 'sales person'.

It's a good thing that a company like Buck Stop acts like it wants your business - they got mine!!!

Deja vu all over again..... do a RA search.

Mr. Donnelly,

Thanks for that article in the TDR, I ordered the S/S front and rear last week. They said on the phone that they heard about the article but were waiting for a copy? I can't wait for my winch just arrived today and now the waiting is killing me. Oh well it will be worth it.

Ruenel for the front. Their rear is ugly as hell. Its kinda like a square hole with a round peg. The front is awesome, its super strong, unlike others that just look strong, and the ones for 06 trucks are awesome as well. I like that they follow the lines of the truck very well and they don't block the light from the headlights at all.

Reb, you are thinking about the old style Reunel rear bumper, I believe. It was plain-Jane and was initially designed for agricultural towing work. The new style is very good looking, imho.

Wow, If the Rumor mill is correct, I do believe that Off road alloys was in big litigation over their almost identical bumper design to that of Road Armor. I could be wrong, but I do believe that they are still kind of held up from being able to sell anymore bumpers. Like I said I might just be wrong...

Joe, the one she showed me looks different than yours. She was going on and on how it was designed for ag and how it was the strongest one out there. I like the stock design, i just wish it was built heavier. Ruenel did a nice job designing their new bumbers around our '06 trucks.
