I can see where there is an opportunity to break them if adjusted improperly. I only needed a little stability and help get rid of some excessive rear end sag. I did not expect them to make my 3/4 ton handle loads like a dually.
When you install them, I can see where it could be easy to over adjust the pre-load in an effort to get more out of the system. It comes with 2 thickness gages to properly adjust pre-load. I set mine to the thinner of the two. Thats the least of the two pre-loads. After putting my camper on it several times along with various other loads/overloads... I went back thru the adjustment procedure and adjusted them with a set of feeler gages to 3/4 of the maximum recommended pre-load. That is where its at today, Still flawless and still love them.
Just be realistic that they are not going to make a 3/4 ton into a dually, but will definitely give you some much needed stability and help with rear end sag.

TBH, Im not sure about the increased stability unloaded as I installed new 5100's at the same time. The factory shocks had given up the ghost, so I did it all on one Saturday morning.
