I have a roaring noise that seems the worst in 5th gear at about 50-55 mph. If i push in the clutch it goes away when the engine speed drops. I can feel a vibration in my feet that shouldnt be there but not in the gear shift. any ideas?
Sounds like your engine fan is cutting in. These fans move a lot of air and make a lot of noise doing it. I have often felt the vibration in the clutch when pushing it in and engine is slowing. I've never worried about it. I really haven't noticed it as much since the South Bend was installed.
I guess anything is possible but i dont see the fan cutting in every time i get to 50. It does seem to go away if i go to 6th gear so im thinking its engine speed related
The noise from the fan is engine speed related, the higher the RPMs, the more noise you hear. It may not be the fan but from what you are telling us that is one thing that comes to mind.
