Is there a product out there to protect our factory fog lights? I was hoping for a clear preformed 3M product like I used for my '99. I see the headlight/fog light package in Geno's but I don't want to attempt the headlights with all the curves and all. It would be nice if just the foglight covers were available for less money. Thanks.

Bob,

I put the 3M product on my '07. It's two pieces per headlamp . . went on fine. Put the lower part on first. I have not put the fog light protecters on yet. I had these on my '99 with a 20,000 mile Alaska, Yukon & Dempster highway Arctic circle trip and no broken lights.

regards, Richard

My dealer puts on a clear thick film that sticks to the fog lights. I'm not sure where they get it but its about 1/4" thick, I think its made by 3M.

I think they have to cut out the shape of the fog lights, it must come in sheets or rolls.

Mo' info.

Just an update on the foglight situation. Genos put me in touch with Xpel Technologies. They are the suppliers of the kit Genos sells. I spoke to contact person and was given the website and told to order them that way. Should be much cheaper than the whole kit. I did the headlights on my '99 but these space age lights on ours are too much for my patience. You get one chance to squeegee all of the air out and then you're stuck. Too many curves for me. The product worked great though on the '99. No cataracts when I sold it last year. :-laf I need to call them tomorrow as I must have wrote the site domain down wrong. Genos is contacting them in order to offer only the fog covers which most guys want. I paid $105 otd for these suckers with my buddy's account. They're cheaper online through participating discount dealers. Still expensive. You must purchase the whole assembly. Sucks.

Foglight Protection

E-mail address for purchasing 3-M clear protection covers for our foglights is: -- email address removed --. I'm in the process of trying to obtain these and Genos is going to try and sell just these covers for those of us not desiring the headlight portion. Mo' later.
