What is a member track ? Can't just any diesel race on a memeber track ?

The DieselPower!TM Drag Racing Series is the name of our member-track-based bracket-racing program for 2005. We are signing up tracks all over the US and a few in Canada as DHRA member tracks. Each track agrees to host and operate a series of at least five races during the season; the track will be responsible for race purses/trophies, the schedule; the point's tracking and the series championship purse. All tracks will use the DHRA rulebook to govern the races.

It is up to each member track to decide if DHRA membership is required. So no, you don't have to be a member of DHRA if the track does not require it. All track series' champions will receive a "Rudy" Plaque in recognition of their accomplishments from DHRA. Track champions that are DHRA members will get $750 from DHRA/DieselPower! and a seated position in Houston during the Nowel Thomas World Finals-November 12th. This is where all of the track champs come to battle it out for the world title; the coveted "Rudy" trophy; and a purse of $7500!

Check with RMR, but I think they have you sign up with them and you don't have to sign up with DHRA.

Thats good news for us Salt Lake City boys. I had a lot of fun at the Edge drag days last year at RMR.

Did you go to the 2003 Weekend on the Edge event??

Much better for racing.

You don't have to wait 45 min. between runs. When they held the racing on sunday you could get in 10 runs in 20 minutes.

This year the Edge Drag & Dyno days are Sept. 9th at the track and 10th at the Edge. The track will be all Diesels this year   :-laf

Man that seems like a long way from now. I'm looking forward to it though. Last year was a lot of fun and it sounds like this year will be even better. I hope that they do it like they are doing down at May Madness in Vegas where 6-10 is test and tune dragin and 10-2 is "grudge" dragin where anyone can race anyone. :D:D:D

I was hoping that this would be the case. The 2003 Weekend on the Edge was much better (racing wise) then the 2004 Weekend on the edge.
