Tried the adjustable cam sensor on my 3rd Gen, no difference, except a slight loss of power. I am pretty certain it's because of the Bullydog Downloader already adding timing. This is probably why mileage went up a little after the BDDL install.

I took it out, and then thought, what about Mom's 1998. 5 Dually? I have no timing box, so thought it may help.

First off, the sensor is not in the same place. Anyone know where?

Secondly, will my 3rd gen sensor fit with any mods, now that I own it?

I don't see anything on ROKK's web-site for a 2nd gen truck.

The plugs are different, and they also read different signals. Not going to work. Plus, even if if it did fit and read the same signal, the VP44 has a sensor in it that compares its position versus that of the engine. Chances are, the truck would only idle and/or have vcery low power since the CMP sensor signal would be quite a bit off.
