PacBrake Questions

hardware vs. software

I am still running the HOT Juice/Attitude, just stacked an EZ with it. As soon as the FASS and SPS66 are installed, I will know if it stays or goes. I am pretty sure with the 180hp and EZ I run out of fuel. If I dont get where I want, will try TST with the EZ and probably have to try the BDDL "CL" or maybe wait and see what the BD Triple Dog has to offer.

I have run my comp box for a year and a half with no problems at all !!

now i am going to up-grade it to the drag and add a new turbo and inj.

J... what is a Bullydog "CL"?

I've been though 2 Edge Comps. One regular that failed and one drag comp. I'm making the switch to a custom programmed TST Comp. If the custom TST doesn't work with my catcher ecm I'll pull the ecm and stack the TST with an EZ.

I had to get my comp replaced about once a year. I eventually went to the drag version, which I liked much better than the regular.

However, after replacing my vp with a "Hot Rod" version, I no longer needed the comp. Haisley's boost fooler is my only current electronic engine mod.

I went with TST

I have run TST on my 1999 ram (a TST PM2). I sold that Ram and bought a 2001 6 speed Ram. I sold the PM2 and got a PM3. What a blast. I even did the clutch (Con FE). I wrecked that '01 (see pics in readers rigs) and bought a 2003 Ram. I waited for the TST to work out bugs and bought a Edge EZ. While flawless in its' function, I was looking for more.

Yesterday, I bought a TST PMCR and installed it today. Holy Smokes, driver. It kicks A sabba sabba. I now need a turbo :{ .

Go TST and don't look back. 3 trucks, all with no problems. More smiles that you can shake a stick at. :D :D :D

Edge EZ, not much power but apparently helped mpg

I just returned from a round trip to Scottsdale from Central Nebraska, 2522 miles and with my EZ set on 2 (which was recommended when I called them over a year ago) I got 21. 87 mpg, all with a/c and I "SET IT AND FORGET IT" at 68 mph , turned up the Sirius and enjoyed the interstates. Not bad for an 04 4X4 shortbed. That impressed me, but I didn't idle very much and of course was empty with a tonau (sp) cover. I actually haven't checked my mpg stock, I keep hoping to get some gasser p/u to want to run so I just leave the Edge hooked up. I also had an EZ on my 2001, but couldn't get the good milage as the 04.

Question: If the EZ just turns up the pressure a bit and I get increased milage and a few horsepower, why don't they just do that at DC? just a thought...

I ran the EZ while I was waiting for the new Edge box. Edge just took too long, so I went with the TST.

The EZ is in a box in the garage.

I think edge really dropped the ball BIGTIME when the did not offer a HP box for the 305/555 motors in a timely fashion. Big promises,a little to late for me. I ended up with the quad HP box. coobie Oo.

well this post just answered my question about which programmer to buy? i was leaning towards edge due to alot of the other programmers having issues with throwing codes. but after reading this post i will buy the tst programmer.
