In the last 6 mos, I've lost both my fog lights#@$%!

So I thought I'd see how big of a problem it is. Who out there has replaced the fog lights

Is there anyway to protect them??? I've got to do something, I'm not going to just keep replacing them!

XPEL @ Genos

Never did, but the first stop my truck made was to No Nicks, a local 3m X-Pel invisible paint protection place.

Eithor have them install or purchase pre-cut pieces and install yourself (but, if I were doing more than just lights I wold have them install).

Paint Protection Film - XPEL Technologies Corp.

This stuff works really well.
XPEL is Geno's source for their kit which protects the headlights and foglights. They're sending me the foglight film only at a cost of $8. 00 + modest postage. Hopefully it'll be offered in the new catalog. Contact Robin at Genos for more info. (I hope I'm not opening the floodgate Robin!) I inquired as my foglight got killed also.

Thats great! So it's just a clear film that sticks to the light. Interesting. If its really $8 thats a bargain compaired to 2 new fog lights.

When you replaced your light did you pick one up off eBay or from the dealer? Mind if I ask about how much it was? I saw some on parts.com and they wanted $122 ea. I couldn't believe that...

I lost my driver side light. I haven't fixed it yet. Anyone have a good source?

I took out the passenger side at about 26K. Had 90K on my 03 and never lost one. Guess it depends on how much gravel is getting kicked around where you drive.

Driving on the road as much as I do anything that is exposed will get banged up one way or another. The OEM lights are $75. 00 and work well.

My replacement units are by lightforce and have lexan covers at a cost of $600 mounted. While they are better than the OEM they do not cover the same area as the fog lamps due to the placement on the new bumper. They do cast the light down the road a lot further. The Bumper should stop Bullwinkle. Almost got my limit on my last trip as two were dead centre in the road as I came round a corner. Stopped less than two feet from the full broad side impact. Could have been head on and that would have been very messy. This is where the fog lamps really shine as they project the light left and right and down. So w hen you come over a hill or around a corner the fog lamps are giving you at least a 2 second advantage.
