Roll up your pant legs, here is a tall tall tail

I was just down town paying a bill and a local business man was standing by my 03. He asked me how many horses my truck had, of course living in California, I had to say 235 hp. He proceeded to tell me about his new Ford 6. 0. It is a crew cab, long bed with the 5 speed auto. He claims, now you might want to roll up your pant legs, because things are going to get real deep here. He claims, that he can do 80 mph from a standing start, the area that he discribed, I checked it out with my odometer, is just over 1 tenth of a mile. I wanted to laugh at him, but he is a pretty good size person, so I thought better of it.



I mentioned that I have heard a lot of bad things about the 6. 0, but beings I quit buying Fords years ago, I really couldn't tell him the details.

I tried to print off the post that Hillbilly Hotrodder had, dealing with the 6. 0, but for some reason it would not print. He said if he had a problem, he had a 100,000 mile warranty, Ford can give him a new engine.



I like my Dodge.

Sounds like a typical PSD driver- full of it up to his brown eyes, and TOO impressed with his purchase. ANd the the Ford guys ALWAYS have more power than a Cummins, because they have a 7. 3 vs a 5. 9. Try to tell them it's all about fuel air and timing, and you get a blank stare. It's amusing how little some guys know about their Ford pickups. Friend of mine has a PSD that recently hit 100k w/o any problems except the A/C condenser going out. I told him when he reaches 250K on the original fuel system ,turbo, etc, and it still starts at 0 deg, THEN and only then can he brag a little. Gotta love that warranty claim. I would have laughed at him, no matter how big he thought he was. I can run faster than a lot of fat guys. LOL
