I have to say your are very lucky, i has seen some trucks like that down here and well the outcome was not pleasant... . As i always say if your numbers up a scratch will do you in, obviously you have more work to do before your time is up... Just curious but what ever happened to the little white car?

I don't think 1st gens would pass todays roll-over protection standards.

Maybe a frame mounted roll bar in the bed isn't such a bad idea for the rest of us!! :) Or some stacks made from thick wall carbon steel pipe... chromed of couse!

the weight of the engine on the downforce of flipping is probably the difference in these trucks at lower speed rollovers, especially if you catch air and then come down, just my thoughts since we all know the front end is heavier, im sure all that weight coming down can't help any at all.

Someone with a welder and some steel could probably fab up a pretty good rolloever device inside the cab, im sure it could be done, guess piece of mind is priceless as im sure someone has one in their truck.

The in bed rollover bar is a great idea as long as you have one that won't bend or crush upon rollover, then again you sacrifice bed space to. . Hadn't been for that little white car this wouldn't have happened im guessing so leave it to an idiot to cause a accident. .

I am a welder and the next one will have a roll bar of some kind. I real roll bar and not chromed either. I am looking at tying it into the bed and the frame while not taking up any space in the bed itself. I think I can make one plenty strong. A very strong brush guard up to hood height will make for a nice support on each end of the passanger compertment and keep the Cummins safe to ;) .

NOW your talkin! Keep the Cummins safe... . I LIKE IT :D

Yeah I think one of those back racks would help consilderably. I am about 6' actually but I feel slightly shorter now. Thanks for the link barbwire it worked like a charm. Seems like a nice ride.

Mercy... glad to hear you're o. k... buy that angel on your shoulder a cold one. In my previous life I was the guy who flew in to pick up the pieces after events like yours. In 15 yrs I've never heard of anyone simply walking away from a flopper like that! I'll keep a look out down here in Texas... keep that drive train!

Cheers
