I am sure this has come up before. But can the new "clear marker lights", with the better seal fit in place of my amber 2003 lights? I haven't had any problems with them leaking (yet), but I do have a couple with broken pieces out of them.

Yes, you can get a set of factory clear plastic parts for $74 on Ebay. I did this mod recently and they work and look great. BTW, they're shaped just like the orig 's and the screws and light sockets fit perfectly.
You'll need 5ea 168NA amber bulbs. 194 bulbs look the same but aren't nearly as bright.

another thing i wanted to do was to switch to LED blubs. I noticed some companies that were selling the lens with led change over.

Did you get your lens from Steve White Dodge in NC? for $73. 97?

I was also told by Brandon at Geno's that the aftermaket ones did not fit well. He did not mention Recons. But I would think that we could put a LED replacement blub in place of the standard blub? I know they make replacements for the different sizes.

Yes, I got them from Steve white Dodge. Not sure what leds would work. They have to be amber and put out good light in all directions.

I have the Smoke tinted Recon LED's on my 05 truck and have zero issues with the being dim or faded. The ONLY issue I had was one quit working and when I wanted a replacement I had trouble buying just 1 light. I ended up finding a member on another forum who needed 2 and we split the cost of a complete set(He needed 2 and I need 1 and we each then took a spare from what was left). When it gets dark here tonite I will pull the truck out and take a photo of it... ... Andy

I also have the smoked Recon led's. Have had zero issues and they are plenty bright and have not had any leak issues. Been on the truck for two years now, easy plug and play set up. They are made in china though and I did have my concerns but so far so good... ...

I got the white lens from Steve White Dodge today. They look great! I left in the clear bulb. It might not be the right one to have in there, but I like the way it looks at night. Since it is summer the lights won't be on much anyway. Maybe when the winter comes I will put in some LED Ambers. For now the white light shines bright!

I know that you can buy the whole kit for adding the Clearance lights. I am the type of person who hates to drill holes in my truck, and I know I would not do it. For me, I would have to have some one do it for me. But I am sure that would be costly. :-laf
