just returned from a trip to Europe and was suitably impressed with the roof mounted lights used on the trucks (lorries) over there.

does anyone know if or of a light bar that can be mounted up on the cab when our trucks don't have gutters?

I beleive that JC Whitney has some that have brackets for vehicles w/o gutters. Also try a place that sells off-road equipment like Summit Racing.

Thule and Yakima are sport rack companies that make brackets that fit on our trucks. You could get one of those and mount lights to it. A little ghetto-fab, but would still do the trick.

thanks for the thoughts so far. any others ? I am thinking of two lights in the grill guard for just more light up front, maybe on with the high beams, and then a couple of retina burners up top for the long deserted roads here in the west.

Make sure it'll still fit in the garage...

I was going to go with roof mounted lights until I realized I'd have to raise my garage door opening height and might wipe em off at some of the local parking garage entrances :{

Have you considered using aircraft-type retractable landing lights attached to one of the Lund Racerback-type fairings?
