You might check with the Walmarts in your area, mine discontinued it and discounted what they had left to move it off the shelves. I understand in other areas of the country they still carry it at the discounted price. I think it was around $13 per gallon. It is regularly $18-19 per gallon. It's funny in my area it is real hard to find synthetic diesel oil of any brand.

Shell distributors

Get on the net, and do a search for Shell distributors in your area. My local diesel mechanic has Rotella in bulk, and said he would get a case or 2 of the synthetic for me when winter arrives.

remember that old thread where one oil company was complaining that another oil company was using regular dino oil and calling it synthetic? The result of that lawsuit turns out that they have something called type 3 base oil, which is made from dino oil, but is allowed to be called synthetic.

Well from what I understand, that is what Rotella synthetic is made of.

Other oils like Mobel delvec 1, Amsoil, Redline, etc are made from Type 4 base, which is real synthetic base.

I am not the expert here on Oil, I am just am Amsoil prefered customer for personal use.
